CAIRO: Minister of Antiquities Mohamed Ibrahim, in coordination with the Tourism Police Dept., announced a security alert on Monday at archaeological sites across Egypt in light of Sunday’s bombing of a tourist bus in Taba that killed three Korean tourists, according to Youm7.

Ibrahim said that Ministry of Antiquities is in a constant contact with directors of archaeological sites nationwide to ensure the safety of tourists and cultural heritage.

Minister Ibrahim said such attacks “will not hinder the Egyptian people from achieving stability and prosperity,” said Ibrahim.
